I made this for you.
I tried to write a song but I accidentally covered In Bloom by Nirvana instead.
“Paint By Numbers” (Original)
I did a new song which is quite like my old songs but new enough to be called new and it is the song in the video.
Lyrics/Chords are in the description under the video should you want them: http://youtu.be/_0A7DnhkJ3g
“Life, Or Whatever” (Original by Ardie and Christina, feat. Anabelle)
We wrote a song in Austria. I went to Austria. We wrote a song there.

This is yours.
I covered a Sufjan Stevens song with the unacceptably talented Aidan Jones.
He basically did everything, which wasn’t what I was expecting, but it’s what he bloody well did! He made it turn into excellent.
So that’s Ardvent for Day 18. Or Aidvent. Yes. Aidvent, I think.

Just so you know, if you want that Christmas EP I did, it’s only available for 1 more day because all the money made from it is going to the Project For Awesome, and their Indiegogo campaign ends on the 20th.
Thank you so much to everyone who’s downloaded it so far. It’s sitting in the Top 10 for folky-type music on Bandcamp this week, and top 50 overall. So that’s nice, ain’t it?
You can hear/download it dft.ba/-ardiechristmas.
New Music Sunday
Sundays are made for new music. At least, in my world they are. Nothing better than sitting down with a cup of tea on a quiet Sunday and finding some new tunes to get me through the coming week.
This Sunday is all about Christmas albums. I’ve become addicted to tracking down Christmas music that I actually like. Turns out, my friends and favourite artists actually make that task fairly easy. Here are a few of the albums I’ll be treating myself to this week:
(Click through to download. Most are available on bandcamp. All are reasonably priced. Some are free. A few support excellent causes.)
I’d love to hear your recommendations - anything I’m missing out on?
Hey, look at Jess being all nice!
Old cartoons are wonderfully weird.
Ardvent. Day 16. “There’s Always Christmas” (Original)
Part of “Happy Christmas, I Suppose”, a charity EP where all the money is going to the Project For Awesome.
You can listen to it here: dft.ba/-ardiechristmas
Announcement Numero 2
Happy Christmas, I Suppose is now all released and available to be listened to and downloaded because it is released so you can listen to it or download it because it is available and released and available.
It’s a Christmas EP. Obviously.
It has been released.
It’s also a charity EP with all money raised going to the Project For Awesome.
Hope everything’s good with you, yeah?
Here it is again. It has been released.
So it looks like this Ardvent thing is still going on somehow and for some reason.
I remember the reason now (I obviously knew the reason, I’m just being all nonchalant. I hope you’re enjoying it.), a Christmas EP I made is being released tomorrow.
It’s called “Happy Christmas, I Suppose” and it’s a charity EP. It’s £2 (or more if you want) and all of the money will be going to this year’s Project For Awesome.
It’s currently available for pre-order at dft.ba/-ardiechristmas.
When you pre-order you get two of the tracks straight away through some digital magic, and then you get a little alert to tell you when the full EP is now available for you to download.
There’ll also be a Project For Awesome video going up on Monday where I’ll be talking about a cause and plugging the EP all over again.
So there’s lovely.
Ardvent. Day 11. “Hard To Say” (Original Song)
This is part of “Happy Christmas, I Suppose”, a charity EP I done which is now available for pre-order HERE:
Ardvent. Day 9. “Hide The Whole Deck (Silent Night)”
I changed the words to Silent Night for no discernable reason.
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
We stayed close as the storm grew outside
Buttered toast and a painful goodbye
Pull together a smile
Pull together a smile
I can’t speak, I feel weak
Went for glib, came out bleak
If we’re sinking all that’s left is hope
Make a raft of it, see if it floats
We’ll find ourselves lost at sea
We’ll find ourselves lost at sea
Press on still, lungs to fill
Distant words, linger still
They echo through from when you leaned in,
They say, “This world’s a bastard, but don’t let it win.
Hide the whole deck up your sleeve.
Hide the whole deck up your sleeve.”
Quench this thirst with sounds and words
Lies creep in to aid this blur
I dream of a time when I’ll dream in my sleep
Make my voice crack to seem tortured and deep
In truth I prefer your deceit
In truth I prefer your deceit
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
We stayed close as the storm grew outside
Buttered toast and a painful goodbye
Pull together a smile
Pull together a smile
